November 26th 2019, at 10:30am, Dr. Maria Giovanna Dainotti (Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology, Stanford University, USA/Astronomical Observatory of Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland) will visit our Department and talk on "Selection biases in Gamma Ray Burst correlations and their implications for cosmology" in Festa del perdono, Room 517, within the course "History of Contemporary Metaphysics".
Dr. Dainotti has discovered important relations in cosmology named "the Dainotti relations" after her. She received the order of merit "Knighthood of the Italian Republic", the highest recognition in Italy, for excellence in the field of astrophysics.
